Trilegiant and AOL’s Collaboration
Trilegiant and America Online (AOL) reestablished and broadened their partnership in membership services by entering into a new deal in 2001. Under the new deal, Trilegiant Corporation’s subsidiary, Trilegiant Marketing Services, will handle marketing for AOL. AOL is the leading interactive services company in the world while Trilegiant Corporation is a spin-off of Cendant Incentives and Cendant Membership Services. It is a membership company that provides a variety of incentives and loyalty programs to members.
Together with America Online, Trilegiant has extended a marketing alliance that identified the two company’s valuable consumer brands and marketing strengths.
As a result of the agreement, a number of America Online brands users now have the opportunity to buy a variety of discounted goods and services by way of Trilegiant Corporation’s popular Travelers Advantage, Shoppers Advantage, Privacy Guard, and AutoVantage membership services. An addition to the agreement is the appointment of Trilegiant Marketing Services to perform marketing duties for AOL by using a variety of distribution channels.
Trilegiant Corporation’s President and CEO, Scott Bernstein had expressed his delight in the continuing alliance the company has with America Online. He says that by working together, they would be able to continue making Trilegiant Corporation’s services in travel, auto, shopping, and credit protection available to AOL brand users.
